Hello!

​

My name is Renn Fleur and I am an aspiring illustrator and painter from Seoul, South Korea. I create artwork both traditionally and digitally, but mostly work with watercolor and color pencil. I love to draw warm, fuzzy, whimsical animal characters, as well as small joys that I find from simple things in life. When I am not drawing, I love to eat rice cakes, go on long walks, or read my favorite fantasy book.

One of my most cherished moments during my childhood was my time at my mom’s bookstore for children. From there I fell in love with drawings of fun, unique animal characters and the art of storytelling. Those fond memories took me back to children’s books all the time, especially when I felt lost in my life. When I read them again after I got older, I realized they held so much more depth, hope and kindness than I remembered, all of which I had missed when I was young. Children’s books helped me to realize who I want to be, what I want to become, and what I want to do with my life.

 

I want to do the same for other children. I want to illustrate and write stories that were fun to read when you were young, and when you follow those memories back to those books after you’ve grown older, help you discover who you really are and who you want to be. I want to create works that will not only encourage and inspire, but also serve as a compass in life that is vast with choices.
